Standard medical methods of treatment are not suitable for every patient and, unfortunately, in most cases, they are not effective enough ...

The drugs riluzole and edaravone (Radicava) are widely used to treat ALS. The drugs inhibit the release of glutamate and have disease-modifying (neuroprotective) effects. Two large randomized controlled trials showed that taking riluzole prolonged the life of patients by 3-6 months.
It is believed that edaravone (Radicava) also captures free radicals, which have a pathogenetic effect in ALS, as a result of which the progression of muscle atrophy is delayed. The exact mechanism of action of the drug is unknown.

First of all we care about the safety of our treatment programs

Сell therapy for ALS has been found to be 100% safe**.

Autologous (patient’s own) Mesenchymal Stem Cells (MSCs) also known as Mesenchymal stromal cells or
Medicinal Signaling Cells are multipotent stromal cells that can differentiate into a variety of cell types, including
osteoblasts (bone cells), chondrocytes (cartilage cells), myocytes (muscle cells) and adipocytes (fat cells which give
rise to marrow adipose tissue)
The safety of cell technology is ensured by the following conditions:
1) Bacteriological and virological control of the cell source.
2) Strict control of the processes cells storage and cultivation.
3) Preclinical testing for toxicity, mutagenicity and carcinogenicity.
4) Long term clinical studies.
The international database of clinical trials has registered more than 700 clinical trials using mesenchymal
stem cells (MSCs), which guarantees the safety of the technique.
Currently, 18 medical protocols for conducting cell therapy in various fields of medicine have been approved in
Belarus. More than 20 experimental studies have been conducted on the basis of medical institutions.

How are the stem cells collected?

What type of stem cells are used?

Precision Medical's cell technology specialists use Neuro-Induced Mesenchymal Stem Cells (NMSC) isolated from the patient's bone marrow and explanted (grown) in the laboratory to the required therapeutic volume.30-40 ml of bone marrow punctate (BMP) is taken into 50 ml test
tubes with heparin anticoagulant at the rate of 50 units of heparin per 1 ml of punctate. Within 1 hour, the tubes are transported to a specialized State laboratory in a thermal container for transporting biological material.

The method of treatment was developed by the State Institution

"Republican Scientific and Practical Center of Neurology and Neurosurgery" & State Institution "Republican Scientific and Practical Center of Transfusiology and Medical Biotechnologies" in 2013.

Neuroinduced Stem Cells are infused in two stages: Intravenally and intrathecally with an interval of 3-5 days.

Intravenal Infusion of intact MSCs

At a dose of 0.5-1.5 × 10 000 000
/ kg of patient weight
in 20 ml of saline
with 5% of an autologous serum
performed with an 18G intravascular catheter and using a syringe dispenser with an infusion rate of 60 ml / h.

Neuroinduced MSCs Intrathecal Injection

In aseptic conditions, the patient is laid on the couch on his side, bending his head and legs (in the hip and kneejoints); his back is located vertically, at right angles to the couch. At the level of the interval L3 – L4, after treatment of the skin with an antiseptic, anesthesia of the site of the proposed puncture is performed with a 0.5% solution of novocaine. Before use, MSCs are resuspended, 5 ml of a suspension containing 5–9 × 106 cells are drawn into a syringe

Strict compliance with the instructions and scientific approach!

Treatment Program Benefits*

*Treatment results are purely individual and depend on the biometric and age parameters of the patient, aswell as on the stage of the disease at which the transplantation of neuroinduced MSCs was performed. According to thetreatmentresults, a second course of therapy may be prescribed in 4-6 months.

Decreased muscle hypertonicity, hyperreflexia.

Inflammatory manifestations reduction.

Affected upper and lower motor neurons recovery.

Speech and swallowing recovery.

Elimination of attacks of involuntary laughter or crying; depressive disorders.

A significant decrease in muscle decreased muscle hypertonicity, hyperreflexia.

**Contraindications: Mesenchymal stem cell (MSC) transplantation is not performed in patients who are seropositive for anti-HCV,

HBsAg and HIV (the basis is the instruction "On the procedure for preoperative preparation of autologous blood and its components",
approved by Order of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Belarus No. 981 dated 03.09.2012) .
